Baldvin Þór Bergsson (researcher)

Baldvin Þór Bergsson is a team member in the CoPolis project, focusing on the case-study of Iceland. He is a doctoral student at the University of Iceland, where his research is centered on social movements and changing power relations in the aftermath of the Icelandic financial crisis in 2008. Baldvin holds an MSc in international political theory from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in digital media and society from Uppsala University. He has worked as a reporter and assistant editor for the Icelandic National Television and Radio (RUV) since 2002, and covered both politics and the economy extensively. He has hosted several live political debates and before the presidential elections in 2012 he interviewed every candidate for the National Radio. Baldvin has published on the Nordic countries defence policies and given several talks on Nordic matters for, amongst others, the Nordic Council. He has also written several political briefs for Oxford Analytica, a global analysis and advisory firm.
